Coaching... A bit of context please

Coaching creates the conditions for you to do your best thinking. It is about you, helping you explore the options available to you, to get you to where you want to be.

You may have a specific goal in mind, or you may not, the coaching process can help bring clarity and structure to support you moving forward in your chosen path. The role of the coach is to guide the client towards their own discoveries, insights, and goals.

There will be a focus on different tools and techniques which are best fit for you, drawing on your character strengths and resources to support your positive future intentions.

What role will my coach play?

I am here for you, to facilitate and support your journey in a respectful and confidential way. As your coach I will listen to understand, provide careful questioning, and encourage new thinking to support your development. I may at times employ certain positive psychology interventions and techniques that can have a positive and potential sustainable impact on you.

I will work with you to gain clarity on what is important to you. I have a flexible style, tailoring my approach to your needs.

A bit about me….

I have spent 15 years in the corporate environment, predominately in leadership roles, coaching people to improve performance, setting and achieving goals through a solution orientated approach.

What I enjoyed the most was the 1 to 1 coaching, where I could build a trusting relationship and support that individual to unlock their potential. What has always been important to me is individual’s wellbeing, where achieving a goal, improving personal or business performance should not be at the expense of that person’s or another’s wellbeing.

I am sports enthusiast and a certified strength and conditioning coach, for several years I have personally employed exercises as an intervention to enhance positive affect and reduce negative affect. I have also embedded mental skills into my practice which can be employed in all settings.

Throughout my life I have used adaptive forms of humour as a coping mechanism to deal with stress, reduce conflict, while giving emotional encouragement to friends, family, and co-workers

I am a father, a husband, a business owner so it has been imperative for me to get the right balance in my life. I have found when I am at my best, I can be at my best for my family and life’s opportunities and challenges.

I will create the conditions for you to do your best thinking and I will create a bespoke structure which can enable you to be at your best.
